Domestic violence
Domestic violence is any form of physical, sexual or emotional injury between people who are, or were, in an intimate relationship or a close family relationship.
To report an incident of domestic violence, you should initially contact your Anti- Social Behaviour Team on freephone 0800 40 80 160 or by email at asb@enfieldhomes.org.
When dealing with domestic violence, we will:
- encourage tenants to call the police on 999 to report any incidents
- ensure that the victim is given the number of the 24-hour National Domestic Violence Helpline (freephone 0808 2000 247)
- work with other agencies in the borough to ensure that the best advice and support is provided. This may include referring the victim to a local specialist domestic violence service providing advice on things like safety planning, legal options and housing options
- refer victims to a refuge or other alternative accommodation, but this can be very limited and it’s not always readily available
- advise the victim to seek support from relatives and friends, if possible, as this may be a better option in the short term.
Tenants can also access support directly via the domestic violence drop-in services at the following places:
