Anti-social behaviour
What is anti-social behaviour?
Anti-social behaviour (ASB) is behaviour that interferes with other people’s rights to use and enjoy their home or community. Examples of this sort of behaviour include:
- playing music loudly or at unreasonable hours
- leaving rubbish in communal areas or your gardens
- hate-related incidents (based on race, sexual orientation, gender, disability, religion, age, and so on)
- misuse of communal facilities, for example by spitting or urinating.
We have a clear policy on anti-social behaviour, and our tenancy agreement sets out clearly what we regard as unacceptable behaviour. We will take a firm line to ensure tenants follow our tenancy conditions and will use all available legal action to combat anti-social behaviour, in all its forms. We will also investigate allegations of anti-social behaviour made by or against leaseholders.
