About Choice Based Lettings

The majority of available vacant properties in the London Borough of Enfield will be advertised through this scheme, including properties available through Registered Social Landlords. We may occasionally advertise vacancies which fall outside of Enfield but which are available to applicants on our Housing Register.

You will be sent a list of available properties to your home address each week. In addition, all available homes will be advertised in the ENFIELD INDEPENDENT newspaper every Wednesday, which is a free delivery newspaper. You can also view available properties on the Internet. One-hour free Internet access is available in ALL of Enfield’s Libraries. If you do not know how to use the Internet, library staff can assist you with accessing the system, but you will need to book a training session with them in advance, for which there is a charge. There is also an automated telephone system which you can call to place your bid. Both the Internet and telephone system are available in various community languages. Once you have identified a property that you are interested in you can make a “bid”. Bidding involves no payment of money. You “bid” with your points. When you make a “bid” for a property you are simply placing an interest in the property advertised. You cannot bid for a property that is not advertised.
