Choice Based Lettings (CBL)

Who gets the property? 

The successful bidder(s) will normally be the person(s) with the highest points and will, in most cases, be contacted within 72 hours of the closing date for bids on any particular property. However, in exceptional cases, a property will be offered to the bidder with the highest points in a particular Rehousing group to ensure we meet our Target Allocations, as set out in our Allocations Policy. We may invite more than one bidder to view the property, but we will advise you how many people will attend the viewing and what position you are in before you are invited to view the property.

Each week in the Enfield Independent we will publish the results of the previous lettings and the number of points they were let for. This will give you some idea of what your chances are. We also publish the results of previous quarter's lettings here on our website. Please note that preference will be given to existing secure Council tenants and Registered Social Landlord tenants for vacant Council houses. If you have been placed in temporary accommodation by London Borough of Enfield, you are not considered to be a secure tenant.
