Decent homes
During the work
Once work on a project starts you will be advised again, well in advance. You will receive a resident information pack. Please keep this pack safe as it will contain useful information to help you prepare for the work, in addition to contact telephone numbers and details of the project team. This pack will also include an explanation of who does what and when, along with other useful project information.
You will have a number of options and choices during the proposed work. We will ask you to make your option choices and confirm that you are happy with them. At this stage we may involve the contractor, their specialist teams such as kitchen planners and the contractors’ resident liaison team to help you through the option selection process.
We will confirm the details of the work as not all parts of your home may be refurbished at the same time. We’ll confirm what you can expect to be done in your home and indicate how long it will take. Sometimes work will take longer than originally planned, and the contractor’s RLO will keep you advised of any rescheduling and agree appointments with you, for the work to be done.
The contractor’s RLO will keep in touch with you while the work is being completed. They will visit you to make sure that you are happy and that all is going well, or if have problems, what they are and how they can be put right. You may also see Enfield Homes’ RLO during the work as our dedicated staff will be checking on the contractors procedures and making sure that they are keeping to agreed procedures and providing you with the desired level of customer care and service.
You will also see our Clerk of Works, as each project will have a Clerk of Works allocated, and they will inspect the work to ensure that the contractor is working to the specification. The work to your home will not be complete until the Clerk of Works has signed it off. Our Clerk of Works will happily discuss details of the work with if you want more information. Please raise any concerns that you may have if you feel the contractor is not working as they should with our Clerk of Works.
