Tenant estate inspections

You could get involved in keeping a check on standards on estates by becoming a tenant estate inspector.

There are currently about 40 tenant estate inspectors who have all received training in doing inspections. Since estate inspections were introduced, more than 100 blocks have been inspected.

The teams check the cleanliness of the area, including lifts and stairwells, and look for graffiti or any other signs of anti-social behaviour. The teams then give the estate a star rating and report any issues to the housing team for action.

Tenant estate inspectors do not inspect their own estates.

Tenancy manager estate inspections

Your tenancy manager regularly inspects your estate and you can accompany them if you wish.
