Electrical safety

You should always get an approved electrician to do electrical repairs or wiring. When you buy electrical equipment, check that it has been tested and approved for safety. Remember: 

• make sure plugs are wired correctly and fuses are working
• don’t have too many items plugged into one socket
• never touch plugs, switches or electrical equipment with wet hands
• never use portable electrical equipment in the bathroom, apart from shavers
• unplug electrical equipment when not in use.
