Service charges
What are service charges
A service charge is an amount you must pay for services we provide to your block and estate. Your lease requires you to pay your share of our costs for managing and maintaining the common parts of your building and, if your block of flats is on an estate, the communal estate areas.
Service charges pay for:
- housing management services and administration
- building insurance
- caretaking, communal services and other shared block charges
- grounds maintenance
- repairs and maintenance services.
To provide an efficient management and maintenance service, we must collect all service charges due.
The services provided to your block and estate are listed on your statement of estimated costs that you receive every March.
