Right to repair

The government gives tenants a right to compensation if their council does not do certain repairs within a set time. This is called the Right to Repair. You will get compensation if:

• we do not do repairs to protect your health and safety within a set time (see list of qualifying repairs in the Repairs Handbook), and
• the work costs less than £250, and
• you have not stopped our contractor entering your home.
