Tenants
Tenancy support services
At times you may feel that you need extra support to help you maintain your tenancy and stay in your home. For example, you may need help with budgeting to pay your rent, or you may have physical or mental-health problems that make it difficult for you to cope. We are committed to ensuring that you receive the support you need and we work with other organisations that may be able to help you.
Support services for tenants who need extra help are funded by the government’s Supporting People programme.
We provide support in the following areas:
- managing money – budgeting, claiming benefits, dealing with bills and filling in forms
- involvement opportunities – participating in your community and developing a social network
- life skills to maintain independence – cooking meals or maintaining a home
- training and employment – jobs, training and education
- being healthy – managing your health, diet and exercise; managing mental health problems; finding a GP or dentist; and accessing drug or alcohol-intervention programmes
- safety and security – how to report repairs, how to avoid legal action and how to behave with respect in the community.
