The letting standard

Our letting standard sets out the standard of repair and appearance you can expect from your home when you move in. This means that your home, and garden if you have one, will be clean and in a state of good repair. Our letting standard says:

• the roof won’t leak
• the structure (walls, timbers, door and window frames) of the buildings and any attached canopies (roofs and porches), outhouses and garages will be safe and won’t leak
• windows and doors will be secure and in working order with glazing intact. Where we have fitted window locks, we will service them to make sure they are working properly and will leave you the keys
• gardens and yards will be cleared and safe to use
• any separate sheds in the grounds of the property will be safe.
