Your neighbourhood
Being a good neighbour
You can help make your estate a pleasant place to live for you, your family and visitors. Our Good Neighbour Charter sets out how you can play your part:
- keep balconies and areas you share clean and tidy
- clean the landing outside your flat or maisonette
- be considerate to your neighbours
- don’t use, possess or deal in illegal drugs in your home or nearby
- keep noise to a minimum. Appreciate that your neighbours may live differently to you and want peace and quiet
- don’t let your pets be a nuisance to your neighbours
- respect your neighbours’ property and their right to peace
- keep a lookout for other people’s property
- be considerate and helpful to older people and children
- treat your neighbours as you would like them to treat you.
